The director of SKLURE is in charge of overall work, and three deputy directors are responsible to help the director to deal with academic activities, education and training, and instrument management and daily management respectively. One administration secretary and one academic secretary are responsible for routine work of laboratory.

Upon the research orientations, an academic committee was established. It consists of both senior scientists who have outstanding academic achievements and some young scientists who are active on scientific research. The committee is composed of 17 scientists, including 2 foreign experts, 2 academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and 13 professors or research professors.

The laboratory has full-time staff, students and visiting scholars. Most visiting scholars are experts on ecology. Some of them come from USA, Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, UK, Sweden, Belgium, and the others. Many visiting graduate students accomplished their dissertations in SKLURE.
